Job Responsibilities

We serve as the booking center for the county's medical transport and special transport services in Laholm, Halmstad, Falkenberg, Varberg, Hylte, and Kungsbacka municipalities.

As a booking receiver, you will handle incoming calls. Your task will be to assist customers in the best way possible with their questions and requests, as well as provide them with service regarding travel bookings. The phone and computer will be your primary tools. Our operations are open year-round, every day of the week, which means you will have varied working hours, i.e., day, evening, and weekend shifts.

We can never guarantee how many shifts you will receive as a part-time employee. However, experience shows that between one and three shifts per week is normal, except during the summer and holiday periods when we almost need all part-time employees full-time.

All employment at our Booking Center begins with a full-time introductory training to ensure you feel secure in your tasks. Here you will receive a thorough introduction to all job responsibilities, the systems, and tools we work with. The training is an important investment we make for our new employees.

For this part-time position, you must be able to work full-time, Monday to Friday, for 6 weeks starting February 16 during the training period. Additionally, you must be available to work throughout the summer of 2026.

You will be based at our headquarters, which is centrally located in Falkenberg by the Bus Terminal, next to the old train station. This means it is easy to get to work.

About the Workplace

Hallandstrafiken arranges 50,000 journeys in Halland every day! This includes bus traffic, Öresund trains, Pågatågen, Västtågen, and Krösatågen. For Hallandstrafiken, the customer and customer service are of the highest priority. We are with the customer throughout the journey, with all the products and services needed for travel.

At the headquarters in Falkenberg and in customer service stores, there are about 100 employees working on planning and developing bus and train traffic, as well as service journeys, environmental work, travel information, and marketing for public transport in Halland, among other things. Hallandstrafiken is also the booking center for the county's medical transport and special transport services in Laholm, Halmstad, Falkenberg, Varberg, Hylte, and Kungsbacka municipalities.

Qualifications

To work in our Booking Center, you must have at least a high school education. Since we use various IT support, you must also have a well-developed and documented broad experience of working with computers.

As you will have a lot of contact with customers, colleagues, and managers internally, as well as partners around us, we place great importance on your personal qualities.

It is essential that you, in addition to being meticulous and highly service-oriented, have good communication skills and are engaged in what you are doing. You need to have very good knowledge of the Swedish language and good knowledge of the English language. But perhaps most importantly, you must always focus on the customer and have the willingness to help and support the customer in the current situation. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
